A little slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere

The El Retero Hotel and Hostel. By far the best hotel we've been to.
We got the best room in the place for $27 a night. A baby bull lives on the grounds and wanders around. An employee will build a wooden fire in the back of the sauna or $1.50.
Oh and there's satellite internet!

Public Transportation in Guatemla!

Eventually there where 27 people inside this van along with 2 on top. This is typical public transit in Guatemala. People think nothing of standing bent over in a van for 3 hrs.

Howler Monkeys in Tikal

These things are fracking scary. They sound like they are being tortured to an inch of their lives.
Make sure you turn up your speakers. This was from about 60 feet away from them.
